At the 1997 world championship competition, Salvador was the "black horse." But, that was not the first competition Salvador showed up to as an "unknown." In fact, in 1988, Salvador took all the fighters and spectators by surprise. In contemplation of who was this unknown warrior, winning each match, the spectators became more intrigued as Salvador won match after match.
